The First Step
18:54
There’s a handwritten note
Left by the still hanging capote
As the little boy takes his first step away
The tranquil countryside
Where he used to reside
Bid him goodbye as he went astray
He will become the pavements along the streets
Of the roads to inner peace and jubilation
And his journey will be heard in our sleeps
Filling the skies with stars and carnation
So when the nights plummet out of sight and sound
And his adventure finally knows no bound
He will take what were rightfully his
Lost in the long hallways and chandeliers
The little boy was taken back to his first step
And it is soon be filled with pep
Not victory nor treasure does he obey
But to find his true self along the way
an old mountainside,
